Kia is raising the bar once again with the first teaser images of the all-new 2027 Telluride SUV. Ahead of its global debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20, Kia gives fans a glimpse at what promises to be a bold, captivating, and iconic addition to its lineup. At University Kia of Durham, we’re just as excited as you are to see the next generation of one of Kia’s most successful vehicles.
Opposites United: Kia’s Design Philosophy
The 2027 Telluride builds on Kia’s Opposites United design language, which blends the contrasts found in nature and humanity. The teaser images hint at:
-
Square-shouldered, upright silhouette framed by thin vertical LED lighting in red and amber
-
Aggressively defined triangular creases in the fenders, inspired by the Rocky Mountains and the SUV’s namesake Colorado town
-
Broad hood with clean, straight lines, giving the Telluride a commanding road presence
This design philosophy captures Kia’s commitment to combining rugged strength with modern elegance, making the Telluride instantly recognizable even before it hits the road.
A Look at the Exterior: Strength Meets Elegance
From the teaser images, the 2027 Telluride appears poised and powerful:
-
Rear design: The beltline rises subtly to intersect the D-pillar, suggesting motion even when parked
-
Floating roofline: Black inserts at the top of the pillar make the roofline appear to float
-
Planted stance: Broad fender surfaces give the SUV an authoritative presence, while fluid side contours create an elegant profile
It’s clear that Kia is designing the Telluride not just to impress, but to make a statement wherever it goes.
